Review on 🧽 Set of 5 Swedish Dishcloths (Natural Color) - Reusable Eco-Friendly Cleaning Sponge Cloths, Paper Towel Replacements by Swededishcloths by Jason Reed

Great replacement for paper towels

I tried to save on paper towels by using Amala's Magic Sponge which is similar to these. This form of cleaning wipes is widely available in Europe and I am delighted that more of these options are available in the US market. Compared to Amala, which are slightly damp and soft-packed, Swedish wipes are dry and stiff-packed. A splash of water and they become a very comfortable wet sponge. You can rinse them, sanitize them in the microwave, clean the counters without tearing them up, and once you've cleaned them into small pieces (which takes quite a while) you can toss them in your compost heap and leave no waste. However, once you use them, they dry out in the form you let them dry in. Again, contact with water causes them to revert back to their soft sponge shape. The sources are manufactured in Europe (where?) and packaged in China. Amala kitchen towels are made in Germany. Although Amala is slightly more expensive than these, I'll probably continue to stick with this brand just out of personal preference. In terms of performance, they are quite comparable.

Pros
  • REUSABLE AND MACHINE WASHABLE. You can use this durable, eco-friendly cleaning cloth over and over again. It can be washed in clothes or in the dishwasher up to 200 times. They may be out of service by then!
Cons
  • Available in white only
