Review on 📁 Syba SY-ENC50104 4 Bay 3.5” SATA III HDD Non-RAID Enclosure – USB 3.0 & eSATA Interface, Black by Daniel Bulkley

This is without a doubt the most unreliable and disappointing product I have ever used. It will run for hours and then go into spastic episodes where it will just turn off all drives and reset everything without warning. I've tried it on several computers and it will work for a short time but then go into those reset loops. Restarting the computer doesn't help. Disabling docks (including disabling them) doesn't work either. I have two of these units (8 bay model) and both units exhibit this behavior so it is most likely a design flaw rather than a faulty unit. It doesn't seem to matter which drives are installed in which bays, whether all bays are loaded or just one or two. All my hard drives work fine when connected individually to a computer or via other third party USB docking stations (e.g. 2 or 4 bay docks). A complete disaster for the product, which is why Syba has discontinued this product and all other docking stations. Thank you Revain for selling a discontinued product.
