We need 150 alarm clocks for our condo. We bought and tried five different brands. All have been tested half a dozen times (connect contacts with a wet finger) and all rang every time, and this was one of the loudest. Then everything was carefully placed deep enough in the water that it could swim. This one died sometime between the 19 hour check and the 24 hour check while the other three continued playing to the last point, probably because this one uses two AAA batteries instead of the others' 9 volt batteries. It has three unusual features: the sound of the alarm is the same as many car anti-theft alarms - unlike the usual horns, it is totally waterproof so unlike others it can be placed directly under a potential leak and the batteries are replaceable. You'll need a jewel-sized Phillips screwdriver to remove four tiny screws that many people don't have.
