Before we bought this chiller, we threw ice into the aquarium several times a day and it still didn't stay cool enough. The ambient temperature has been fluctuating between 85 and 90 degrees for several months. This cooler works great to keep the water nice and cool for our pet. We had to place the aquarium on a large baking sheet to catch the condensation. But we can definitely tell the difference in Mushu. Much more active since we kept the water so cool!
