Pastel Pencils
I'm new to pastels. I wanted them to add detail to my pastel drawings. As mentioned, they need to be sharpened with sandpaper (I use an Emory board). I didn't use a pencil sharpener but I can see how easily it will break them. I would like to mention that the reason for removing the star is because some pencils have very hard chalk. I have to press really hard to use them and they leave ridges on the paper. For me this is a big shortcoming. I was hoping that soft chalk would work with my pastels.
