I am knitting a pair of socks with these needles. I needed this size (1.5) with a long cord for the magic loop. I also bought a few cheaper ones through another company which I didn't like the cable, needed a thinner cable so I could pull the needle out of the stitches. I have previously purchased another pair of this brand (size 2, platinum) through another retail website. The cable came off the needle on this pair so I was a little apprehensive about ordering them but I had no problems with them at all. they are very durable.
