We've just adopted an all black cat with yellow eyes, conveniently named Thackery (think Thackery Binks from Hocus Pocus). I wanted to add bright colors to the collar. so that it doesn't disappear completely in space because it looks like a shadow. I found this bow tie and it was too cute to pass up and the price was right. He has a bell that rings when he leaves so I always know where he is going, the tie moves so I can place it anywhere on the collar (if it's under his chin it looks like it can he doesn't work with your neck because of the volume), the orange color is bright enough to stand out against all the black fur, but it's more like burnt orange that's dark and really reminds me of a Halloween/fall color. Didn't test the "tear off" part of the collar. He's an indoor cat and basically just lies around all day instead of getting into trouble. I added an orange pawprint tag (which you can find at Revain) that was easy to attach to the bell so it has a double ring. All in all a good buy and adds some sophistication and color to my cat.
