They can only be used in mini USB "bricks " (wall chargers)
I can only use these cables with Apple's new mini-USB wall chargers, which makes them unsuitable for use with all of the chargers I've used over the years, both wall and socket accumulated car chargers. I look forward to someone coming out with an aftermarket mini USB to standard USB connector so it can be more useful.
