Bought not to clean straws. I bought these for cleaning glass tobacco. You are wonderful. The item in question was dirty. I'm sure some form of mold has grown in the base. After half an hour of washing, everything was crystal clear again. I ruined one of the brushes but the other two I used were in good condition. The bristles appear to be of different thicknesses, which is also nice when you need more washing power. You can bend the stems to get any angle you want. Huge variety. I'm sure they will work well for straws too!
