I have mixed feelings about this duvet. What's good: the cover is so soft and I'm happy to say it's real cotton! It's smooth and fresh and the cotton makes it very breathable. I will use a duvet cover to keep it clean but even the 500 thread cotton cover itself is amazing. I also like thin stripes. All the stitching seems delicate and I love that the edges have a satin stitch with cord. The price was also very affordable for what you see in the market for a duvet. Everything these days seems like a terrible alternative to down that makes me sweat. Real fluff couldn't be better. Mixed: The duvet is great for the light season and all season, unless you live in an exceptionally cold area I think. That's because even though he says his power is 600, he's not that big or furry. Other than that it's quite warm and I think adding another blanket underneath could ensure a comfortable night's sleep in the winter, as well as a comfortable night's sleep in the spring and summer. Another ambiguous point is the filling. On the one hand, it's really fluffy, which is great! However, it is advertised as fully disabled when it actually says "at least 75%". What is the other 25%? Whether it will be filled with feathers or polyester is not specified. I'm not against feathers, but I wanted a duvet first because I'm sensitive to polyester. Personal preference and I wanted to post this here so others know it's at least 75% less and something else. The Bad: This is NOT a baffle design. The true baffle design ensures that the filling does not migrate, shift or stick together but is evenly distributed throughout the quilt. I have a superior comforter with a lower fill but it's still a lot fluffier and higher because it has a true baffle construction that fills every square with fluff. This ceiling has one very big drawback - all the fluff is shifted to the corners, and the ceiling leaves the edges and the middle very thin and sparse. There may be two inches of loft in the corner, but there is no fill in the middle. This is a really bad design and I am disappointed that it is advertised as a baffle box when actually it is not a closed baffle. There is such sparse distribution in the center and around the edges that I took a few photos to show the empty space when you bring it to a light or window and the thinness in the areas. Even after beating by hand and in the dryer, uneven distribution persisted. In the end it looks more like a 450-500 fill power than a 600. Overall a decent buy for the money, decent construction and overall comfortable but the poor fill distribution doesn't make it as fluffy as I was hoping.
