Flat worktop/stove only
My worktop is slightly lower than my stovetop. I was hoping they would still work, but the part that sticks out between them isn't long enough to bridge that height difference. So there's really nothing to block them with and they move around a lot. Also, I've noticed that liquid often gets spilled underneath, making cleaning difficult. I can recommend them if your countertops and stove are the same height. Otherwise, as my picture shows, it just doesn't work.
