I bought this expecting better results than the factory sharpener. The problem is that the workmanship is not very high quality and therefore the cutting edge is not perpendicular to the sides of the tool being sharpened. If you apply even moderate pressure to the blade, there will be significant deflection. Once the blade you're sharpening is fixed, the deflection is pretty bad. Another problem is that it is somewhat unstable. I've found that I often feel like the circle is fully registered on the surface of the sharpening, which is only slightly less annoying than hitting the eyeball with a jackhammer. Now I know how much I paid for this thing. I understand it's cheap. What I don't understand is why and how this thing is called Revain's Choice. Considering that every element of Choice Revain is the same for all users, this just doesn't make sense as I don't think it's value for money and it doesn't give better results than what I do myself could. Next time I need a sharpener I'll consult John Hayes.
