Review on πŸš— Bosch 16978 Oxygen Sensor: Genuine Equipment for Audi & Volkswagen Vehicles by Anthony Daniels

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Replace hard work!

Installing this sensor was not easy as it was behind the cat. There was an engine check code identifying this as a faulty rear sensor, dammit! The new sensor had a longer wire so I just twisted it into a loop with a zip tie and all was good. After driving the car for a day, the check engine light finally went out. This was for a 2005 Audi A4 1.8L Turbo. Don't attempt to install it unless you have an O2 sensor port and a 1/2" swivel adapter and 1/2" extension and ratchet. The only way to change. is to reach the top of the gearbox and replace by bending it well past the top and rear of the engine. Removing the original sensor was difficult as the car has 102,000 miles on it. Never want again!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
