Review on CURT 51522 Quick Plug Brake Controller Wiring Harness for Enhanced Compatibility with Audi Q5, SQ5, Q7, Volkswagen Atlas, Touareg by Bryan Hill

Not suitable for VW Atlas! Curt's harness connector is much larger than the connector in my 2019 Atlas. See attached picture. The Atlas connector sits on top of the Curt connector. Even the packaging says it fits 2009-2017 Audi without mentioning Atlas (which came out in 2018). Thinking I just got a poorly made plug I went back to order another but even the picture on Revain clearly shows the (too big) plug I received. Same thing when I looked at eBay and eTrailer. However, eTrailer says "NOT CONFIRMED TO FITT VW Atlas". When I called Curt Manufacturing support they insisted that the 51522 was Atlas compatible and had no interest in finding out the problem.
