Review on XiaZ Tie Out Cable For Dogs - Heavy Duty Lead Line For Large Dogs Up To 250Lbs, Available In Various Lengths 10-120Ft For Outdoor Activities In Yard, Camping And Park (Blue, 250Lbs 70Ft) by Chris Laznovsky

I like it so far - my new review

I've had other heavy duty dog tie-outs rated for 250 lb dogs (is there even a dog that big?) that I used with my 90 lb Boxer. He's kinda a meathead with more strength than brains. He would lunge repeatedly, putting a lot of hits on the crimp connections until they would come apart. Also, the plastic coating would crack and the exposed cable would rust very quickly and eventually break. Plus, the spring loaded latch failed a couple times which allowed him to get loose. It got to the point that I would keep a new one on hand as a spare because I knew it wouldn't be long before I would need it.I haven't had this new leash for very long but it gives me the impression that it will outlast the other cables I've used. There is one feature I wish this cable had and that is a swivel to keep the cable from getting wrapped up. I may see if I can add one. Other than that, I like the cable and the threaded loop locking mechanism looks good. Now I just have to see how long it lasts.

Pros
  • Thick and strong cable to resist chewing or biting
Cons
  • The cable could get caught in the dog's collar or harness, leading to injury
