A few months ago I started restoring my 10 year old deck. Although I used pressure treated lumber, some of the planks were partially rotted around the edges (perhaps due to organic material stuck in the small gaps between the planks). Since the deck is not where it can dry out in direct sunlight due to the surrounding trees, the material collected was left wet enough to cause a rot problem. I removed each board to check and clean up the leftovers. Some boards didn't rot enough to be puttyed (I used wood hardener). But others had to dig up the rotten wood. I tried several other products but wasn't very happy with the results. The putty did not dry sufficiently and was easy to scrape off. Then I tried PC Woody. The two-component mixture was easy to work with and dried quickly (pour deeper within 24 hours). I was then able to sand and stain the affected areas and the result held up beautifully. I would highly recommend this product to others.
