Description of 🔨 PC Products PC-Woody Wood Repair Epoxy Paste: Two-Part 12 oz in Two Cans, Tan - Ultimate Wood Restoration Solution

Two-part epoxy paste to replace missing or rotted wood is resistant to dry rot, UV light, fresh and salt water. Can be used in indoor and outdoor applications with an application temperature range of 35 to 115 degrees F and a service temperature range of -20 to 200 degrees F. High tack helps reduce drips and sags while hardening. PC-Woody part B must be mixed with PC-Woody part A in equal volumes on a flat surface with a stiff putty knife; DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MIX WITH GLOVES. Not recommended to mix PC-Woody in teaspoon size increments or smaller simply because of the likelihood of an ‘off-ratio’ mix. Provides work time of 30 to 40 minutes (at 70 degrees F) to allow for adjustments. Can be painted, stained, and machined after fully cured. High "wet grab" or tack of PC-Woody makes overhead and sidewall work easy without drip or sag. Excellent resistance to all weather elements, mildew dry rot, UV light, fresh and salt water, and chemicals present in pressure-treated wood. Note: PC-Woody will not bond to wax paper, Teflon, Polyethylene and some other plastics. Test a small area when in doubt.

Terrible to work with

My first project with it was a disaster but I learned a lot from how bad things went so I'll probably have a better experience next time. It would be nice to know this in advance. Key Lessons: 1. Do not use gloved hands to mix two parts. You will immediately lose about 25% of the mixture, which will permanently stick to your glove2. You Need More Than You Think: Mixing the two ingredients together is like adding salt to water: 6 oz Compound 1 + 6 oz Compound 2 makes a 6.1 oz mixture. I'm…

Works MUCH better than the rest!

A few months ago I started restoring my 10 year old deck. Although I used pressure treated lumber, some of the planks were partially rotted around the edges (perhaps due to organic material stuck in the small gaps between the planks). Since the deck is not where it can dry out in direct sunlight due to the surrounding trees, the material collected was left wet enough to cause a rot problem. I removed each board to check and clean up the leftovers. Some boards didn't rot enough to be puttyed (I…

Easily spread; shape.good.

medium job report I'm trying to use this product to repair rot on some finishing materials where one side of the corner is missing. I know, I know. Why did you allow this? Well, the color held it all together until the color failed too. damn water! Anyway, the description says PC Woody Epoxy can be "moulded". But don't think of shapes like modeling clay or even wooden spatulas. If you use him as the person in the video, I'm sure it will be easier to work with him. Please note that gravity helps

Convenient and Efficient Repair of Damaged Wood

Ideal for repairing damaged wood. The additional set-up time makes work easier. Unlike Minwax or Bondo epoxy wood repair putty which cures very quickly, Woody's gives you plenty of time to apply and work with your mixed putty. "Detalization". The downside is that Woody's takes a little longer to get ready for sanding and painting. In a recent project I used all three products. I found that once mixed into a hardener, Minwax and Bondo set so quickly that I had to work with them quickly and often

2nd Purchase - Adhesives & Sealants

I first used it outside to fix a couple of racks that had dry rot on them. I scraped off loose wood and cleaned it as best I could. Mixed and applied in the sun. Align it to then screw the rail to it. The next day I installed the roof rails, the putty was tight and held up well. No complaints. The second time I used it internally to patch a long but relatively narrow strip that was about an inch wide and 1/4 inch deep and over 3 feet long. Again, this worked well. Has not shrunk, at least not…

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Repair

I originally bought this wood repair epoxy to repair the stock on an old .22 rifle. Where the stock was attached to the rear of the receiver there was a lot of play and the stock moved from all directions. In order not to make new stock I tried this stuff. I mixed the batch according to the instructions and it falters in the problem areas. I then gave it 24 hours to fully cure before sanding it down for a perfect fit. It started to harden after about an hour or so, but I like to give things…
