2nd Purchase - Adhesives & Sealants

I first used it outside to fix a couple of racks that had dry rot on them. I scraped off loose wood and cleaned it as best I could. Mixed and applied in the sun. Align it to then screw the rail to it. The next day I installed the roof rails, the putty was tight and held up well. No complaints. The second time I used it internally to patch a long but relatively narrow strip that was about an inch wide and 1/4 inch deep and over 3 feet long. Again, this worked well. Has not shrunk, at least not noticeably for me. This is after it has dried. It dries quickly, but I always wait until the next day to sand or pre-drill the screws, which I do with every wood project. It seems to have a short mixing time. The second batch is slightly different from the first. I think it takes me about 10 minutes of mixing until it becomes more manageable. No problem, I only mix small batches that are easy to work with. I usually mix on a hard surface rather than a wooden board. Plastic, a piece of cardboard if it has a smooth, white side, or metal. If I mix on cardboard or plastic, I can just throw it away afterwards. On metal, I wipe it off immediately with dry paper towels. If I'm careful to scrape everything at once it comes off with a bit of work, same goes for my spatula, I scrape it off immediately after use being careful not to leave a mark. If I leave residue, I lightly sand the metal with 100 or 120 grit sandpaper to remove it. I wash my hands well with lava soap and that's it. I don't use gloves that fit me, but others may want to wear disposable gloves. I will buy it for the third time as I will be leaving soon and need to make more repairs.
