When we read in bed, we prefer overhead lighting to table lamps. For us, it was an inexpensive and convenient option, and we're blown away by how beautiful they look. Most wall lights need to be hardwired into your electrical system. They are simply plugged into an existing socket! Very easy! I thought it would be very difficult to install them, in fact there weren't that many of them to climb. I recommend following the directions as they come. We've used mollies to make them strong, which you'll need especially if you plan on adjusting the levers on the lantern. I think we used maybe 2 tools in total for the whole process. Anyone can do it. Real beauty is in the looks. They are a beautiful black color with a matte finish. The inside is bright white and gives great light. This is a 2 click up/down setting. You can use a two-tier lightbulb. However, if you go beyond that, the bulb will burn out. To adjust the height, you can unscrew the two fancy wing nuts and move it where you need it. To be honest I'll just leave them where they are as they aren't the easiest setup in the world. This should deter you from buying them. I love this light set. Incredibly affordable and looks pretty trendy. If you are considering this type of lighting, this set is a great place to start.
