Bought these for my daughter to wear under her premium uniform dress. She's on the spectrum and also not so good with tight clothes at the moment and biker shorts that should be worn under skirts and dresses that she used to wear with ease, now she refuses. That's great, but as for the other commenters, I can see how regular shorts can be considered short, especially if your child has long legs. It really depends on the baby's build and your definition of short. To keep the shorts from feeling tight under the skirt, I would consider them sleep shorts or lounge/gym/dance wear in hot climates or in the summer when you don't have air conditioning. As for using as a school uniform under a skirt, they are a little loose at the waist, but not enough to worry about falling off. Considering it's anonymous and in full disclosure to help people whose children have the same issues, my daughter at 6 still has to wear braces and they are very good at hiding it, it's a big plus for our family. I don't want her to be teased or bullied about something she can't control yet. They are perfect, I plan to buy more and hope they stay the same.
