The standard length offers hardly any connection, and if you move the case, the connection is lost. The option board is not flat and creates a gap to allow the microchip to pass under the slot. Be careful when inserting. Unfortunately, the fan doesn't match the openings in the case, so if the fan were running (my fan wasn't), it would be half as efficient.
