If you need to lift an electrical outlet 30cm off the floor to mount a flat screen TV or maybe some other device then this item will work great. Not only did I run the power to the outlet, I also ran the coaxial cable. This is actually the best connection as the coaxial cable can be connected directly to the TV and does not have to be converted via a junction box. A cardboard box is sufficient for the output side of the plate. We cut the wall panel so that the panel can be attached to the wall panel. We installed the plate upside down as shown in the picture and drilled a 3/8" hole to put the cable through. The outlet keeps the setup clean without that hacky look or those cables and wire chains that dangle uncomfortably. say, it was easy for me. I didn't do too much daisy chaining from other outlets. Pay attention to how the wiring is routed because if there are too many the back box will not fit very well. In our application the wall is on thinner at this point due to the oven on the other side.
