I do not recommend

2 months old and already useless and I just missed the return deadline. It was a learning experience, and not a very good one. No more Unidens for me - the quality has obviously left the house. The batteries that come with this little fool last a couple of hours and then go back to the charger. Boo - bad. I always had to put AA alkaline batteries in - the batteries were always in the charger. I'm no newbie to electronics - I'm an FCC licensed ham radio operator and invest megabucks in gear. But this radio is far more intense than it should be in the programming arena. I spent 50 bucks on software to program this thing and now this junk is going to the landfill, since it doesn't work even after two factory resets. You can even do simple things like adjust the volume or noise reduction or access the menu. are we having fun yet My advice to the adventurous: buy with your eyes wide open. you have been warned
