Sold as a pet collar so it might appear more pet resistant. You turn it on by screwing the front battery cover (with LED) firmly onto the back half where the battery resides. Off means you need to loosen it up a bit. And therein lies the problem. Once it loosens up a bit, your pet's movement and activity will weaken it even more until it falls apart. The first ten times this happened I found the front and a small battery on the bottom. I didn't do that last time. I wouldn't buy it again because I don't need a light that I have to turn on and remove my dog's collars every time I get in and out just to keep it from falling apart.
