Mislabeled adapters not as advertised

They are sold as USB-C to USB to male adapters but are actually male to male. I don't know what they are for. would. I have a newer iPhone with a USB-C Lightning charging cable. A plug to charge the phone battery, but it doesn't fit the port on this adapter as it looks like a head-on collision - one plug slamming into the other. It looks like it's another one of those fake products made to look like they work with Apple products, but it's rubbish.
