It was a broken phone. Since my entire family has long subscribed to MegaFon, I went there on my lunch break to purchase a replacement. The salesperson suggested I get this Redmi 9 for 17k. And there was a promotion where you could put $4k on the books and get a free Redmi 9S (which normally costs $10k), and I fell for it. Immediate purchase of the bed linens. Is he telling the truth? A rejection was met with a "excellent phone" comment. The lagadrome started as soon as I started playing around with the phone, downloading apps, trying out the camera, and listening to music on Facebook. What I found online, including updating the firmware, was of no use. The gifted phone performs better than the original. Both were laid to rest, and tomorrow I'll try to turn in this garbage, so here's hoping it all goes smoothly. And evidently it has been handed up already, as charging from it is not a clean practice elsewhere. Don't fall for the guys' tasty marketing (and don't make the same blunders I did) I really should have read this before making my purchase.
