We have a German Shepherd and had to buy a tie he couldn't chew. After looking at several different ones, I settled on this one because of the strong connections, including spring and length. Our dog is 70lbs and is a bit wild so I chose this one because it is rated for dogs up to 125lbs. The cable is very strong and couldn't chew on it in the few months we've had it. This is an external brace and it's out in the elements and we recently noticed that there is a bit of rust on the latches. We really like this screed and would be very disappointed if it rusted and we had to replace it. This tie will hold up our dog, now I hope it will stand up to the weather.
