Decent Product: Tie-Outs & Stakes

We purchased this harness for use with a 1700lb Petmate 12ft tree cart in November 2013. We have a 70 lb dog that we use this on and it has worked well. As of February 2014: Benefits - Works well with the above trolley. works well for our large strong dog. Lasted many times to the end and keeps tight. The Cons plastic coating has become brittle and cracked over the winter. Have to see how long the plug lasts. It was VERY difficult to use. We ended up buying a snap hook from the hardware store…

Handles 70 lbs of Shepard mix with no problem

We have a German Shepherd and had to buy a tie he couldn't chew. After looking at several different ones, I settled on this one because of the strong connections, including spring and length. Our dog is 70lbs and is a bit wild so I chose this one because it is rated for dogs up to 125lbs. The cable is very strong and couldn't chew on it in the few months we've had it. It also unwinds very well and, unlike cheaper models, doesn't hold any loops. My dog (80+lb Lab) worked an average of six months on cheaper cable. The plastic coating cracked, then the cable rusted and broke. In this case, the cable coating cracked in a year and corroded to the limit for another year. I really like the clasp on…

A few differences from those in stores.

There were two main differences from what I usually buy from a pet store. The first is the clasp. This is not a standard "dog leash" buckle where you use your thumb to lower the buckle to insert the collar ring. This clasp requires you to pull the clasp with both hands and then insert the ring. If you look closely at the right clasp in the picture, you'll see that it doesn't fit the thumb. The second biggest difference is that the cable is still twisting after three months of use. It's ok for…
