We have an old cat who has gotten lazy. Absolutely hates the cat box and ultimately prefers the corner of our living room! Without this product I would have given it away. We tried various products before finding this one and all of them seemed to either enhance the smell or become synonymous with a smell that I think is just as bad as the smell itself. I literally went insane. Many tears were shed. As with all other products, I cleaned the area very well prior to application. The smell is actually quite pleasant and after drying there seems to be no residual smell. cat urine or detergent.
