Review on Frontpet Backseat Extender - Pet Bridge for Trucks, SUVs, and Full-Sized Sedans - Car Backseat Platform Cover Barrier with Divider Restraint by Katresa Jones

Perfect solution. Just a little too wide for my back seat.

I was ecstatic when I got my first sling and my 82 pound GSD ripped it apart in no time. Why? Because the steering wheel behind my back seats looked like an FL funnel. At every stop, fast or slow, he encountered this empty void that eventually gave way to his claws. I saw this product and it solved my problem. It offers a solid platform to stand on, lie down on, and slide forward when braking. And all this without falling into the abyss. The ONLY three small things I see as a problem are: 1) It's ONLY SLIGHTLY wide for my FJ Cruiser in the back seat. I pushed it in anyway and it fits. 2) It tends to slosh around my back seat a bit when the seat reclines. It's okay, but sometimes it falls a little. Playing with the tension on the seat belts helped. 3) My search dog gets very dirty and the design itself does not prevent dirt from getting into the seat cushions. Solution: I bought a cheap belt pouch that I slipped over it. Without it it would tear, but with support it offers the protection I need from water and dirt. All this while maintaining the storage space behind my front seats in the footwell as well as the protection of my pet and bolsters. The ONLY reason I give it 4 stars is the fit and failure to keep dirt/water off the cushions. In combination with an inexpensive sling this is the best combination I have found. This should take a long time.
