I love this product but it seems to have broken after just a year

I've had my heater for a little over a year and unfortunately recently it started making an unbearably high pitched noise. a squeak that only stops when I turn it off for a while. The product will not be damaged, but sometimes it can work continuously for up to 8 hours in autumn/winter. I am not sure if I received a faulty product or if this is a sign that it will break soon. I like the form factor and it works well, but beware of this shortcoming.
