Review on Amprobe PM55A Multimeter Non Contact Detection by Sean Julian

I was so excited to get this Amprobe PM55A pocket multimeter with non-contact voltage detection. I carry about 40 pounds of tools in my backpack, which I carry with me all day since I don't have a service truck and have to walk around town. This should have been a great lightweight addition to my AV tools. How embarrassing when one day I complained about a customer's socket because the voltage was too low. I proved it with this meter which showed a low voltage. He turns on the lamp and it comes on! The voltmeter wires were not long enough to make good contact with the outlet. Came back (although I skip it for all other electrical tests). Otherwise great gauge!
