Update Review. Finally the pump started working, lots of air bubbles, once cleaned, starting problems. When I got home it was closed. I couldn't do it. He was completely dead. I waited until the next day. He began. I wrote a bad review because I was disappointed that I started working and only lasted a week. I was ready to box it up and send it back. My husband told me to let it cool and try again. It's working fine at the moment. Better pump up. I like different cleaning levels in one container. I have paid more expensive pumps for my turtle tank and so far everything is fine after the first week of disappointment. It is easier to clean as the tubes detach from the lid. I can't use the parts that were there due to my particular setup, but it works.
