**Removing the backing film is key**

I purchased two of these to hang vertically. The first one I "installed" with a lot of water. It was heavy like a shower curtain and despite the comment "remove the backing film", I determined it must not be attached because I could not feel anything to remove. It did "stick" to the window with water. However, the next day, it fell. I had already made the 2nd purchase by then and decided to try again. The 2nd time, I picked at the corner repeatedly until I DID FIND THE BACKING FILM could be removed from the smooth side of the shower curtain, not the textured side. There was so much static electricity once I removed the backing, I felt confident this time it would work, and it did.TAKE YOUR TIME TO REMOVE THE BACKING FILM IS KEY. I chose to hang it without using water, and 2 days later, everything is still intact! It is a strong cling, so the water may help with installing it more smoothly. I wanted a good seal and decided not to introduce another element. Affordable and looks nice! Would recommend!
