Review on Brother DS 640 Compact Document Scanner by Gary Generale

I bought this scanner for a project. I took all my parents' old photos from their expired albums, scanned them onto a USB stick for my sister and I (for safekeeping) and put them back into the new albums. (You could also send it to a folder on your desktop or something similar.) Keep in mind that I've already created over 1200 images and I'm nowhere near finished. I started with photos from the 1970's and so far only the mid 1990's so I have plenty of space but it's chugging on and it's amazing! I wanted a scanner that could continuously pull in images up to 8x10 in size and it worked great. The software was easy to install and use, the scanner is a decent size and easy to store. I was able to continuously scroll through the images and pause when needed. I've learned to be careful with any photos that may have tape residue on the back. Little did I know some of mine had tape on the back and got stuck in the device. I was able to remove them but I was afraid I messed it up but luckily everything was fine. Instead, I stuck them on the index cards and passed them through without any problems. I really like this scanner and am very happy with my purchase!
