I bought this product to try it myself. I'm tired of scratching windshields. Since we started with a rather unusually mild winter, I had to wait until it snowed before using it. Well, the sleet/snow mix came first, and the next morning I carefully removed the cover because the ice mix made it stick a little to the windshield. I had to scrape a little after removing it, but it's okay. I later read to enable defrost first, which I'll do next time. About two weeks later we had 5 inches of snow and I put a cover on beforehand. Well it worked great! After clearing the rear window a bit, I was able to get in the car and drive off without having to do this. something before. What a great product! i like magnets They stick very well. The only addition I made was this: I sewed velcro to the suspension straps and my car is small enough for the straps to converge on the inside. I tied the ribbons together at first, but it took too long. Sew on Velcro, it was so quick and easy. If you're not a seamstress, you can hot glue velcro to both ends to attach if it fits the gap in your machine. I hope I explained it well. This is a really great product and I will be buying more for my boys cars. Very happy with this product.
