Great sound quality! Both I and the people on the other end agree. Battery life is decent, but nowhere near as advertised (that's just Plantronics' standard 6 hours of talk time, over 24 hours on standby, nothing special). This is no different than the battery life of the first Plantronics earbuds I bought in 2010. If anything, these headphones pack the polar opposite of background noise cancellation. While driving with the windows open, the motorcycle passing with three lanes of traffic between us was so noisy that the caller had to ask me to repeat what I said. The caller even identified it as a motorcycle engine. As I stood on my back porch, the barking of small dogs from at least a block away was so loud that the caller commented. I could barely hear it myself, but the caller heard it loud and clear enough to be overheard. In other words, these headphones actually cancel out my voice in favor of a significant increase in quiet background noise. The answer/redial button is on the end of this thing. The volume up/down buttons are on one edge. The slide switch is on the opposite side of the volume controls. So when the device is on, it's absolutely impossible to turn it off without pressing the redial or volume buttons (because you have to lock the earcup for the switch to slide). There is no mute button at all. It's better than nothing, and definitely better than the idiotic full-headset crap that most manufacturers of Bluetooth devices are trying to push instead of standard hands-free headphones. Even the former company Plantronics only has a few flashy and unobtrusive headphones for sale on its own website in 2021.
