I had no straws and only a brush. It also came in that ziplock packaging. They are very broad and not strong. If you chew it, it would be like chewing gum. Since they are so wide, you cannot use them in a jar with a lid. Air can't get through because it forms a seal (because they're so wide) so you can't get anything out when you try to drink. I thought the packaging was weird, but I washed and tried it anyway. Nobody in the house could use them so I washed, dried and returned them. I'm still looking for good straws, very hard to find. I decided I wasn't going to buy them online to see and feel them to make sure I got what I want. And also not getting anything that might already be needed. If the diameter of the straws were smaller, they could work. The length was good, I took 12 inches but they were too wide.
