Very stable and looks great. Also supports my 15" Surface Book 2 with some pressure to type directly on the laptop (I raised it at an angle of about 8-10" from my desktop). It's fairly easy to set up, but not to the point where it compares to a pneumatic system (it's just screws/bolts) - I wouldn't recommend it if you need to adjust the height multiple times a day, but it might be possible , depending on how well you get the joints tight. There's no documentation in the box for adjusting the tightness, but you'll have to remove the plastic covers from *two* sides and adjust all four screws (the tool for this was included). However you like it, you probably don't need to re-stand it. I use my laptop in the raised position 90% of the time, but if I want to lower it for drawing or in studio mode, I can do that fairly easily, although it's Am easiest when I pick up the laptop from the stand. I was originally hoping for something that could resemble the Surface Stud io in terms of ergonomics - and while it's close, you'll likely need some sort of magnetic or pneumatic system to make adjustments so easy. That being said, I can always get another one for my 15" Macbook Pro, it's great hardware. Great value for money.
