First off, I think the controller arrived packaged upside down (see pic 2), so I'm not sure if that was intentional or if I received a used and returned item.

Either way, the controller didn't show any signs of having been used, and so far it's performed well, in some ways even better than my (older) original PS4 controller. Detailed pros and cons below.PROS:- Pairing with the console was very easy and seamless.- Vibrations during gameplay work well, in fact the responsiveness during gameplay is almost a little better than my original PS4 controller (but this may be because it was quite old)- Comes with 2 little silicone-like covers with sensory nubbins for the joystick buttons (see pic 1), which is a plus considering that the covering on my old controller's joysticks had worn off - I just wish they were black to match the rest of the body, the rainbow effect is a little much for me.NEUTRAL:- Has 2 programmable hot buttons that don't come in the original old controller, I haven't used these yet- The form of the controller body in hand is slightly bulkier than the original, which will take getting used to but is not really a big dealCONS:- Have to charge the controller for 3.5hrs out of the box before using it, which is a bit of a pain- Packaged upside down as mentioned above, so I might have gotten a used one; something to think about if gifting, which I wasn't
