I didn't believe the hype surrounding this thing at all; there's no way this will bring my cheap, now copper colored jewelry back to life. I made the biggest mistake I've ever made and it's exciting. Not only have I been able to recirculate my favorite necklaces, but I am strongly tempted to silver plate everything, like a modern day King Midas mixing my precious metals. Although I did notice it wearing off a little on an item that had been heavily worn for several weeks, it was going to happen no matter what. And now I only need 2 minutes to make it look like new again? Uh-uh, yes. I think putting on gloves as recommended. I'm too scared/clumsy to use this stuff without them and I'm not trying to get semi-permanent tattoos. For those still confused, this will not polish tarnished/dirty silver jewelry (black and dark gray stains) - there are many silver polishes out there that will do the job well. Unless you run like a 100% sterling silver monopolist (me) you will see brass/copper stains where the silver plating tears down your cheap stuff. This will fix the situation and you can go back to pretending you have a yacht and a really good health plan or something.
