My daughter wanted this for her ferret. It is a kit and quite small. Now she fits in this carrier but I suspect that when she grows up she will be too small. I would not recommend this M carrycot for a ferret. It just looks like it's going to be too small. But the reason I give it one star is the lack of quality. First, my daughter came to me with her ferret in a tote bag and said that the ferret could not be removed because when the zipped bag was closed, the zipper kept moving and detached from the end of the rails. As if "stops" on the zipper were wrong or not working. So we have a ferret that is "stuck" in a carrier. I managed to unzip the zipper manually by hand but now we have to try to reinstall the zipper and I doubt how well that will work. This is about a 1 1/2 inch hole in the pocket that only gets bigger. It's already big enough for the ferret to stick its nose out, and when it squeezes, it gets bigger because the sting doesn't fuse over time. 1 1/2 inch hole in pocket, that would not be a good pocket for our ferret. Maybe, PERHAPS, it could work for a mouse or a very small creature - but it's not strong enough or well made enough to carry ferrets.
