Review on 🌊 Ohaus ST20 Waterproof Meter: Accurate Readings in Any Environment by Dewitt Graham

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Ignorant OEMs advertise β€œdisposable”

Good. I tried the Ohaus ST20 and after three months it failed. The electrode has burst and is now lying next to the HMS debris. It was handled with kid gloves but with real everyday use. And the electrode failed (which costs about $45 to replace). But even when it worked, the stylus had a few issues, the biggest of which was the eternity it took to get a reading. It's SLOW (at best). So no, I would not recommend this device or any similar device if the OEM thinks it's a good idea to sell a replacement electrode for almost the same price as the original pen. NEWS FOR ALL OEMs: If you value your replacement electrodes like a pen, no one will trust the build quality of your product! Make replacement electrodes for no more than 25% of the pen cost and you will have repeat customers! Otherwise you are alone and in the eyes of your customers it is over. Ohaus turned out to be just like every other OEM making Ph pens: one of the absolute competitors. Buy cheap disposable pens and forget about OEMs like Ohaus and HMS. and even Hanna, not worth the time and money.

Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
