I was a little wary of buying this because I've tried many cell phone holders that would last for hours or days because the clips were unreliable or just sucked. I have to say I'm very impressed with it. This is my first magnet holder. When I first opened the package I found two metal plates, one with glue and the other without. Installation was very easy for the car as I just put it in the air vent and positioned the base the way I wanted it. I have a Galaxy s5 and am using a two piece case (Model #SGP10762) with a hard rubber case and a hard plastic case. I put a metal plate between the two body parts. I can't even tell he's there. When I first picked up the base I thought it would shake and move in the vent. nope! actually held by the company. The magnets at the base are strong and hold the phone with no problem. I drove through bumpy roads, train tracks, hills and bumps and the phone and base didn't move, they stayed in place. The magnetic feature is great as it allows me to rotate my phone so I can use the GPS in landscape mode for example, but I usually use my phone in portrait mode. I've tried this on two cars, a 2012 Honda Civic and a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, and they both hold the phone with no problems. Past but so far I'm impressed enough to leave a review and recommend this item to everyone else. This is a really cool product and it should be.
