Excellent product. Well made, solid but too heavy for what I originally bought it for. Wanted to use it as a backpack saw rather than an axe. Just a bit heavy for my backpack and actually too big for this kind of use. So now this is my secateurs, pruning shears and small tree removal tool. The saw opens easily and locks securely in the open position. The grip is rubberized and feels great. It should provide enough support without creating "hot spots" on my hand under heavy use. The blade doesn't snap into the closed position (which I would like to see in a backpack) but closes due to the friction holding the blade. The blade in the handle is beautiful. When the saw blade is closed, the saw teeth are not visible. Definitely a 5 star IMO product for those looking for a very good pruner / trimmer / pruner "for the home". It would also be a great camping tool for those who don't care about weight or size, want to handle firewood, or want to clear a campsite. Perfect tool at an affordable price for most tasks but just not the best for my initial use. I'll be looking for something with a 6" blade that's lighter and easy to pack.
