Review on πŸ‘œ Premium Brown Leather Bifold Pouch Wallet: Stylish and Functional by Joel Young

Discreet, inexpensive leather wallet

After years of joy, my leather wallet has finally reached retirement age. It literally fell apart to be honest. I couldn't find a similar wallet locally at a reasonable price, so I reluctantly turned to the internet. After a long unsuccessful search that unearthed many cheap, disgusting wallets, I found this one at Revain. Reviews were sparse and mixed but everything looked ok so I ordered it. As soon as he arrived he looked and felt good. The deep brown color is attractive enough, although I don't yet know how waterproof the dye used in the leather is. Understandably, I don't feel like dunking my wallet in water just to be a one-man Consumer Reports test lab. The money pocket isn't as deep as my old wallet and while the fit is a bit tight, it's actually not that difficult to get your money in the pocket properly. There is a nice zippered "hidden" bill compartment, while the "open" bill compartment has a flap that splits in two. The second part would certainly be useful for storing tickets and other things besides money, but I'll probably never use it. I try to keep my wallet as light as possible so sitting down doesn't feel like wrestling with an awkward, awkward rock on a buttock. Credit cards came close, but there were no particular problems. Maybe the other guy had a slightly tighter wallet. I think leather goods have a slightly different manufacturing tolerance. The middle section for additional credit cards and for a driver's license or other ID accepted my driver's license with no problems. The fit wasn't exactly snug, although I'm not sure all out-of-state ID's or driver's licenses will fit that easily. The plastic viewing window was a bit small and covered the circumference of the driver's license, but I won't frown over it. This is a small disadvantage. As usual, the plastic "Extra" credit card was terribly cheap and flimsy. I threw it out right away. I understand that better substitutes can be purchased, but my needs are small so I don't bother. The wallet section works well, although I'm not sure how long that little button will last. If that ever happens I'll probably sew on a velcro equivalent or find some other solution to keep the closure flap closed. With a bit of luck, the leather will also withstand the folds of the coin compartment. Just take a look. The wallet has been practical and useful for the past two months. I wrap it with some rubber bands to keep it closed and to provide friction that reduces the chance of it just falling out with normal flexing and stretching. I did this with my previous wallet. Surprisingly I am very happy with this wallet. I like it better than my old wallet, which bucks the long-standing trend of becoming increasingly dissatisfied with each new wallet. I'll take a small leap of faith in its ultimate durability by ordering another copy to have on hand when the new one inevitably wears out in no more than eight to ten years, or in the event of theft or loss. It was only eleven bucks after sales tax for New York State, which I think is pretty decent for that budget.
