There's no arguing about the price. I use them over winter cycling shoes for winter riding and over standard lightweight hiking boots for snowshoeing. They held up well after a month + fairly regular use. You are a bit small. I wear size 43 or 44 boots. The hook on the bottom cannot reach the D-loop on my cycling shoes (€44) or the bottom of my hiking shoe laces (€43). I bought size XL so it was a bit of a headache for me. Not critical, but an extra inch or two at the bottom would be nice. I would have preferred the top strap to be designed to stay tight when removed like my other gaiters, but that's not really an issue, just a personal preference for laziness. The bottom line for me is that they work.
