This is our first bark collar and I'm glad it works. I chose not to use the shock option, my dog responded very well to the vibration setting. This is only the third day I've been training with him and he's responding so well to the training. I was very concerned about his initial reaction, I can tell he was confused as he kept looking at me but he didn't go mad. I started with a low setting and gradually increased it to the point where he could really feel it. My German Shepherd barks at every other creature he sees while on the patio. I'm sure my neighbors are very annoyed when they hear this. I hope my dog learns to bark less. I don't want to put this collar on him for long. I asked my husband to figure out how this device works while I was away, he tried it and was pissed off and just said it didn't work. Work! Well, he didn't realize that the remote had to be paired with the device. It takes patience to figure it out, once I figure it out, it works smoothly. I like the idea of not having to attach the shock pin since I chose not to use one.
