You can't get that much juice out of an electric juicer unless you kill your hand by pressing the spinning cone. It's worth the money and will last a long time if you take good care of it. We juiced the OJ and put it in the fridge for later, but be aware it takes LOTS of oranges to make a pitcher of OJ! We also made lemon juice and put a sachet in the freezer to grab smoothies and recipes. I think it extracts MUCH more than you could by hand OR with an electric spin cone juicer. Worth the money because you can store it to use as needed. I should have included a photo of empty orange peels, but I've never "cleaned" them up so much when juicing by hand. ! IF you have a storage space (e.g. garage etc.) that you can keep until you use it again, it's worth it. We tested it and it was easy to use, my 78 year old mother with arthritis was also able to pull down the lever to use it. I wanted to buy her an electric one that would require her to press half a citrus fruit against a spinning cone to squeeze out the juice. The reviews said it would be tiring for your hands, so we went with this model, which got good reviews. I am very happy with the purchase. There were no instructions in the box but we knew what to do. Have only used it on medium oranges and large lemons and it's been great. It is very nice to see an almost dry, empty shell after extraction. I have a feeling we're going to spend a lot less now. and can make juice out of lemons (for example) and just freeze the juice in bags or ice cube trays for future use. Lemons last less than a week on the counter, so now I just take them out right away rather than waiting for them to turn brown and feeling the need to do something with them as soon as possible.
