My winter project this year is to remove all the popcorn from all the ceilings in my house and make a knockdown texture instead. For years I've relied on a hand pump texture sprayer for small drywall jobs because big horns are out of my price range and I've never seen a tool as simple as this that I could just plug into my car. /With. But from 1800 sqm. Meters of ceiling to retexture, hand pump was useless, and renting a large rig was out of the question if I'm going to be doing this all winter (and maybe part of next winter). This sprayer came to my aid. I tried it for the first time this morning and was able to re-texture the entire ceiling in less than half an hour and it did a great job! Where has that syringe been all my life? I would give 6 or more stars if I could. My ceiling project is no longer intimidating. A note from my vast (haha) experience: don't use dry mix texture! I tried it the second time and it kept clogging despite the long mixing time. When I use premixed caulk diluted to the right consistency, it has never clogged for me. After that, I threw away a nearly full bag of dry mix.
